[ 01.2 ] · SMALL BUSINESS WEBSITESSmall business websites in Murrieta
For the plumber, the shop, the practice: a site that answers what customers actually ask and gets the phone ringing. It's the bread and butter of our web design in Murrieta work.
What does a small business website cost?
The Launch tier on our pricing page is $1,500 and covers what most small businesses actually need: a focused set of pages, mobile-first design, a working contact path, and a build that loads fast. Growing scopes step up to $4,500. The quote is fixed before we start, and the rate card is public, so you can check our math before you ever call. And if your budget is genuinely a few hundred dollars, we'll say so on the first call instead of wasting your afternoon; a builder template is the right tool at that price.
What's included that others charge extra for?
Four things ship with every build at no charge: edge hosting setup with SSL on a global network, analytics wired up from day one so you can see what's working, search indexing with sitemaps, schema, and Search Console submission, and a 30-day post-launch window where we tune what the real traffic reveals. Edge hosting means your site is copied to servers across the country and served from whichever one is closest to the visitor, which is why these builds feel instant even on a weak phone signal. Most quotes you'll collect treat those as line items. We consider them the floor. The full list lives on the services overview.
Do I need a care plan with it?
No, and we won't push one at checkout. The site is yours and it will keep running without a monthly fee. A care plan makes sense when you'd rather not think about updates, backups, and small content changes yourself; that's $99 a month, not a ransom. Businesses that want to grow searches into calls usually pair the site with local SEO instead. We'll tell you honestly which one your situation calls for, including neither.
What actually goes on a small business website?
Fewer pages than you think, doing more work than you'd guess. A homepage that says what you do and where, in the first screen, without a mission statement in the way. One page for each service you want more of, written around the questions customers actually type, with headings that ask those questions and answers that start in the first sentence, because that structure is exactly what Google's AI summaries and chat assistants quote from. An about page with a real face and a real reason to trust you. Prices where you can publish them; ranges where you can't. And a contact path on every screen: tap to call, short form, done.
What stays off the site matters just as much. No history lesson in the hero, no services page listing eleven things you don't really want to sell, no stock photography pretending to be your crew. Specific beats impressive every time someone's deciding who to call.
Why not just use a website builder?
Wix and Squarespace are fine tools, and for some businesses they're enough. The trade is invisible until it isn't: slower loads, template sameness, lock-in, and a monthly bill that never ends. A hand-built site costs more once and then costs nothing, loads faster than a builder can, and belongs entirely to you. If you've already got a builder site and it's underperforming, that's a website redesign conversation, and it's a common one.
